Swimming, Snorkelling, Body Boarding & Beach Sports
Myalup Beach is situated between Preston Beach and Binningup, all offering the chance to swim, snorkel, and body- board in the surf. During the Summer months, Myalup has a bollarded area, ensuring visitors are safe from passing 4 x 4 drivers.
Relax with a good book or podcast, build sandcastles or rack up a game of cricket. A long stretch of pristine sand is the only thing between your imagination and beach activity of your choice.
Café’s, Restaurants and Eateries
A selection of take-away and dine in options is on hand and only a short distance from our villas. The Myalup General Store is the most convenient for groceries, take-away food, ice, bait, tackle, and alcohol. Call in and see Ralph!
The Cooked Carrot Café - set on 325 acres of rural farmland is 10 minutes from our Villas on the Forrest Hwy. Dine in or take away, coffee, breakfast, lunch. Amazing cakes and deserts, playground, treasure trove of vintage collectables, on site gift shop and florist.
Other noteworthy mentions to check out are the Kangart Miami Bakehouse, Old Coast Rd Brewery, Brugan Brewing Company, Stirling Cottage and The Treendale Farm Pub.
Gourmet Food & Wine
The South- West in general is home to many award- winning vineyards and small goods producers. Most are only a short drive away and easy to schedule a drop in on more than one in a day.
Harvey Cheese offers a smorgasbord of locally produced cheeses and gourmet delights. Café, gift shop and gin distillery. Harvey River Bridge Estate is run by three generations of Locals with a love of the land offering tastings and a cellar door. Look for the Big Orange!
And be sure not to miss the Bunbury Farmers Market! Very few locals, passing travellers or guests to this part of the world can resist a stop at this bustling market of fruit and veggie stalls, meats and cheeses, preserves, ready- made meals and more.
Fishing & 4 X 4 Driving
Myalup Beach has been a popular fishing spot for locals and tourists for years! During summer months, expect to catch Sand and Yellowfin whiting, Herring, Flounder, and Flatheads. All year round, schools of Silver Bream and Mulloway are there for the baiting.
Part of a long stretch of open sands perfect for four- wheel driving, with an access point on the Northern corner of the Myalup Beach carpark. Speed limit is strictly 20km per hour.
Lakes & National Parks
Enjoy Lake Josephine with its breath- taking scenery. Walk the trail on the Western side of the lake. In Winter, when the Red Sapphires bloom, the lake turns a striking hue of pink.
Yalgorup National Park - the trails through this park are abundant with natural fauna and wildlife. Don’t be surprised to see black swans, parrots, kingfishers and the occasional kangaroo.

Playgrounds
Keep the kids happy! Our grounds have a small playground with bench seating for small picnics and Parents to keep a watchful eye. The Myalup Community Playground is a short stroll away on Reading Road, with a large-grassed area, basketball hoop and half court.
Cycling & Tracks
Bike riding around the Myalup township is easy. The laid- back approach of the community and road layouts, well signed and with speed humps on the main road at the beach end, offers relative safety.
The local area surrounding Myalup Beach is home to various cycling tracks and on the Munda Biddi Trail.
Local cycling trails to consider: Lake Brockman/Logue Brook Picnic Area to Stromlo Rd, (15kms) and Myles Ave to Lancaster RD through Yarri Campground, (16kms).

Golf and Sporting Clubs
Harvey Golf Club - 18- hole par 72, fully reticulated with grass bent greens. Visitors welcome. Clubroom with a bar. Change- rooms for before and after rounds. Open 6.30am to 6.30pm, seven days a week. Phone (08) 9729 1273 for bookings.

Tennis Courts – available in the Tom Ottrey Park on the corner of Myalup Beach and Reading Rd. Open 24 hours. No booking required. Turn up and see if the court is free. Bring your own racket and balls
